Michigan state Rep. SteveCarraMI, a Republican, bought Chick-fil-A for his fellow lawmakers to celebrate news of a leaked Supreme Court document that suggests Roe v. Wade will be overturned.
Carra posted a picture to Facebook of himself holding a tray of Chick-fil-A food, calling it “God’s Chicken.”In the photo, the Republican also had posted a sign that read “Baby Lives Matter,” a reference to the controversial Black Lives Matter group.
Carra sent an email with the photo to his Democratic and Republican colleagues in the state House, according to the Detroit News.“Our office has God’s chicken ... to celebrate the protection of babies’ lives. Will go fast! #babylivesmatter," Carra wrote in the email.On Monday night, a draft of the majority opinion in Dobbs v. Women’s Health Organization was leaked.
