'Some people want to backslide on our climate change efforts,' Gov. Inslee said. 'I think that would be a huge mistake. There's no question that this is a long-term challenge for us, it's not just a seasonal thing.'
says Washington state is continuing to increase resources to fight wildfires and that everything is being done to solve the problem., Colleen O’Brien made the point that during the time Inslee has been governor, wildfire problems have only gotten worse. She wanted to know what practical measures were taking place to tackle the problem.
“We’ve got to continue our efforts that should have started 20 years ago, and I have been working on this for about 15 or 20 years,” Inslee said. He said the state is providing more suppression assets, to increase Washington state’s ability to fight these fires.
