Workers discovered that a concrete material used to reinforce the beams and provide fire prevention had hidden dangerously eroded steel. They then closed it immediately, on May 9.
Kwan and Chang will be at the Guardians and Cavaliers’ shared table 11 a.m. to noon, the Guardians announced.
Kwan’s father is Chinese American, and his mother is Japanese American. Kwan was born in Los Gatos, California, outside of San Jose.The festival, which is free, was on hiatus for two years because of the coronavirus pandemic. It takes place at E. 27th Street and Payne Avenue and will feature music, dance and acrobatic performances, a market and food.
The Guardians will host the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field on Saturday. First pitch is 6:10 p.m.
