CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians released their 2024 regular season schedule on Thursday, ahead of the club’s 124th year as a charter member of the American League and 31st season at Progressive Field.
Cleveland opens on the road for the second straight season, matching up with the Athletics, Mariners and Twins for a 10-game stretch beginning March 28 in Oakland. The Guardians home opener is set for April 8 against the White Sox. Cleveland will face Chicago and the New York Yankees in its first homestand of the season. Interleague play for the Guardians includes Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets , Washington Nationals , San Francisco Giants , San Diego Padres , Arizona Diamondbacks , Chicago Cubs , Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds .
The Guardians will play just 12 home games in April with 18 home contests in August and 14 in September/October. The club’s longest homestand will be nine games against the Rangers, Royals and Pirates in late August. The club plays 10 of its final 28 games come against divisional opponents.
