, will feature a bar in its True Texas BBQ restaurant, said Julie Bedingfield, an H-E-B spokeswoman. Visitors will be able to enjoy wine, craft cocktails and local craft beers such as Live Oak Hefeweizen and Electric Jellyfish IPA, she said in an email. Cocktails such as Ranch Water will be served in H-E-B’s 1877 Mineral Water bottles.
She emphasized that visitors will be able to drink alcoholic beverages inside the restaurant only — not in the grocery aisles. A sign on the wall at Bar at Mueller advises patrons of that restriction. “The Lake Austin H-E-B will feature offerings like our South Flo Pizza concept and True Texas BBQ restaurant with a full bar focusing on Texas products,” Kristin Irvin, H-E-B’s director of restaurants, said in a statement. “During our initial planning meetings, our neighbors highly requested restaurants and gathering areas. We’re excited to bring this unique location to the neighborhood as a gathering place and dining option for the community.
The Mueller H-E-B was the first to feature a restaurant that included a bar, she said. That one has been operating since 2013, the year the store opened. Besides Bar at Mueller, Main Streat by H-E-B includes Calle Taqueria, Roots Chicken Shak, The Meltery, Yumai Japanese Grill and True Texas BBQ.
