A party at Penn State Children's Hospital is getting kids into the Halloween spirit and helping to raise money for a good cause.
Spirit of Children, the charitable foundation started by the Spirit Halloween stores, hosted the party Tuesday at the hospital's Tree House Café to "brighten the day for patients and families."Jeremy Simpson, a Zone Manager for Spirit Halloween, spoke to CBS 21 about the event: It really is the heart of what we do. From our CEO all the way down to the cashiers behind the registers asking for those donations, ringing those cow bells. It truly is one of the most enjoyable parts of the company I work for.
Since 2010, Spirit of Children has helped to raise over $900,000 for Penn State Children's Hospital alone. In 2023, the organization hopes to raise $18 million in support of 159 different pediatric hospitals across the states.
