If the rest of the federal judiciary can adhere to a code of conduct and open itself up to reprimand for falling short, so can the Supreme Court. It must embrace a public code of conduct that is enforced by the court or by a body outside of it. These rules should be explicit about what is allowed and what isn’t, modeling the highest standards of ethical behavior worthy of the highest court of the land.

We can’t know for sure whether Crow has influenced Thomas in any way. Their world views have long been aligned. Whether there was influence or not is outside the point, however.
