Two store owners in downtown Harrisburg said their businesses were the subject of break-ins during the overnight hours.
Several convenience stores in downtown Harrisburg were burglarized early Sunday morning by what is believed to be be the same group of suspects, according to the owners of several stores.
The One Stop store at Third and Forster streets was broken into around 2:20 a.m., and the burglars returned a second time roughly two hours later, according to owner Jimmy Papel. The store was not open at the time, but Papel was able to see the break-in on security camera footage. Around 3:45 a.m., the Movin Mart at Sixth and Maclay streets also was hit, according to owner Khurrum Masood. Security camera footage showed three intruders who stole cigars and rolling papers as well as chips, sodas, and even jars of lip balm, Masood said.
