Harrison Ford shares some touching praise for Ke Huy Quan's performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once after their viral photo reunion at D23: 'He is really terrific in his movie.... I’m so happy for him.'
After starring alongside him in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Harrison Ford praises Ke Huy Quan's performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, the multiverse-hopping adventure film was released earlier this year to strong reviews from both audiences and critics. Everything Everywhere All At Once stars Michelle Yeoh as laundromat owner Evelyn with Quan co-starring as Waymond, her husband.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Earlier this year, in a touching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom reunion photo, Ford and Quan, who played Short Round, met backstage at D23, prompting an outpouring of love for the duo on social media. Now, in a recent interview with Uproxx, Ford reflects on his run-in with Quan and shares some touching praise for the actor's performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once.
"Oh yeah. Yeah, it was great to see him. I mean … I’ve had the opportunity to see the film. He is really terrific in his movie. And I’m so glad to see him … and what he has become. I’m so happy for him. He’s such a happy guy, too.
Although Ford may be retiring the role in James Mangold's upcoming fifth installment, the franchise is expected to continue in the form of a Disney+ show. The untitled show is currently in the very early stages of development and, since no writer is currently attached, no plot details have been released just yet. It's certainly possible, however, that the show could see Quan could return as Short Round in some form.
It remains to be seen if the character of Short Round will ever return, but Quan certainly dazzled audiences with his comeback in Everything Everywhere All At Once. With the film having earned almost universal acclaim, Quan will likely become more of an in-demand screen presence, with his Loki character potentially becoming a regular addition to the MCU.
