The Echo series may not arrive on Disney+ when it was previously intended to according to the showrunner.
There's some bad news for Marvel Studios' Disney+ series, Echo. The MCU show, set for release next year, will star Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, returning to play the role she took up in the original series Hawkeye last year. The series had originally been slated for a summer 2023 release, just after the second season of Loki when Marvel Studios announced their 2022 slate at Comic-Con.
Dayre also spoke frankly about the process of working with Marvel, particularly as a showrunner, and described the experience as something of a "crash course" in how to do things, saying:
