It's obvious that people are suffering from “pandemic fatigue.” On social media, in real life and on cable news, the anger, frustration and hostility is palpable. Some parents are up in arms about their young children being required to wear masks, while politicians like California Governor Gavin Newsom, are photographed not wearing a mask at a sporting event. Similar photos were taken of the mayor of Los Angeles and Stacy Abrams in Georgia.
The last two years took a heavy toll on people. Mental health issues hit an all-time high. We had to endure harsh and often unpredictable restrictions on our daily lives. Millions of people have died, livelihoods have been lost and economies have suffered. So, it is understandable that many would cling to any hope that the Covid-19 pandemic is coming to an end. In some countries, the easing or complete removal of restrictions has given them that hope.reported Thursday.
