It has meant the cancelation of many concerts and parades, the transition of classes from classrooms to online courses for a number of universities, and even some changes to a number ofOn Wednesday, March 11, Sephora announced that it is temporarily suspending all paid in-store services, effective immediately.
"As a precautionary measure, and for the welfare and safety of our clients and employees, we are suspending all paid in-store services, makeup, and skin-care applications, and classes until further notice," a statement from the brand reads, adding that the company looks forward to welcoming clients back in the future.
Stores remain open for business, and in addition to an email sent to all subscribing clients, Sephora will specifically inform anyone with upcoming online bookings of the change. This latest move comes after Sephora took other diligent actions regarding in-store practices and upcoming events. This includes all testers being cleaned with a hospital-grade disinfectant before and after client use and throughout the day, increasing the accessibility offor clients and employees throughout the store, increasing weekly deep cleanings of stores and distribution centers, and postponing the annual SEPHORiA beauty experience.
