The 21st anniversary of the September 11 attacks comes one year after the United States completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The Madison Township Fire Department will hold its annual remembrance ceremony at 1 p.m. at the museum, 5075 S. Hamilton Road. The museum is home to a number of
, including a fire truck that was crushed during the collapse of the north and south towers. Its hours Sunday are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission will be free.The department is holding a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at its station, 16300 County Home Road, at 9:50 a.m.While the city of Hilliard is not hosting a traditional ceremony or observance on Sunday, a police officer will be assigned to First Responders Park and serve as a tour guide there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
