Hershey’s acquired Lily’s in 2021.
To determine the risk, Consumer Reports used California’s maximum allowable dose level of 0.5 micrograms for lead and 4.1 micrograms for cadmium. California follows strict protocols mandating business share warnings about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
