High school football playoff tickets to increase, here's why.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - If you’re looking to attend a high school football playoff game this weekend, expect increased prices for entry. Online ticket prices will be $9 for students and $12 for adults. For anyone looking to buy a ticket at the gate, that will be $15 cash.
According to OHSAA, who sets the ticket pricing for games, “The increased cost of the cash ticket is due to several factors, including the need for more security at gates that take cash, increased staff needed for reconciliation after the games and increased costs with our auditors, as we will now have two reports from each game . Coming from hundreds of sites, including 224 this Friday night”.
This increase could prove costly for families looking to go to games. For teams that make a run to the state championships, that could be $90 per person to attend all games.
