Southern California is bracing for high surf and coastal flooding in the coming days. Ventura County beaches will experience waves ranging from 12 to 18 feet, prompting a coastal flood advisory. L.A. and Orange County beaches will also see high surf, with waves reaching 8 to 12 feet in L.A. County and up to 8 feet in Orange County.

High surf and coastal flooding is in store for Southern California coasts for the next few days, and light rainfall is expected on Christmas Eve.We're looking at a sunny and warmer day after the morning clouds burn off. Look for highs in the upper 60s close to the coast and the low to mid 70s for inland areas. The western San Fernando Valley will be the warmest area today with a high of 77 degrees expected in Woodland Hills.
Coachella Valley will see highs in the low 80s, and in the high desert expect temperatures to reach the low 70s.The National Weather Service says high surf and coastal flooding are in store for Southern California today.
