A HogwartsLegacy FAQ has confirmed the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch - despite its seemingly huge world.
The upcoming Wizarding World RPG Hogwarts Legacy will be coming to Nintendo Switch as well as previously-confirmed consoles, according to the developer. More details on the game were recently released during the second March PlayStation State of Play event, which focused solely on Hogwarts Legacy with around 14 minutes of new gameplay.
Hogwarts Legacy comes from WB Games' Avalanche Studios, and promises to offer fans of the franchise a new experience that differs from both the books and movies on which it's based. Set in the 1800s, players become a student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, participating in a range of activities seen throughout the series.
The Nintendo Switch is considerably less powerful than even last-generation consoles, and has become known for offering lower performance and worse graphics for games released across platforms. As such, lots of games like Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and the recent Kingdom Hearts collection came to Switch via the cloud. Many players dislike the concept of cloud gaming, as it means they're dependent on servers and a solid internet connection to keep the game running.
Reception to the recent gameplay reveal for Hogwarts Legacy has been mixed, mostly due to the game's associations with Harry Potter creator, J.K Rowling. Rowling's comments on the LGBTQ+ community have caused controversy and outrage over the last few years, leading many to turn away from the beloved children's series.
