A movie trailer generated using artificial intelligence has Twitter users sharing their humorous reactions to how obviously fake the video appears.

An AI-generated movie trailer receives a humorous response after its quality is overhyped. Artificial intelligence has become a major talking point in recent online discourse thanks to the rise of programs like ChatGTP and DALL-E. Deepfakes have also become more widely circulated, with generators replacing one actor for another in a well-known film, for example. However, deepfakes can be used for more sinister purposes as well, which is the danger with any AI.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT On Twitter, user realchasecurtis shared an AI-generated movie trailer by ChristianF369, claiming it's hard to believe the video's fake. This prompted a hilarious response from other users disagreeing with this assessment. Check out the video and reactions to it below:

Should Hollywood Be Concerned About AI? While the claim "Hollywood is done for" is arguably too strong, especially in response to this particular video, the entertainment industry is paying attention to AI and the potential ramifications it could have on how TV shows and movies are made. The Writers Guild of America recently shared its stance on AI's role in screenwriting, indicating it can be used as a tool as long as it doesn't impact writers' credits.

This movie trailer is merely a funny look at what AI is capable of and perhaps struggles with, if the reactions are any indication. However, considering some of the very real-looking AI-generated content that has made its way online in recent months, some in the entertainment industry may be understandably wary of it. As the technology continues to evolve, it's unfortunately easy to imagine a near future where AI becomes a replacement for many jobs in Hollywood.

Still, as some users pointed out in reply to the movie trailer, it's hard if not impossible to replicate the human impact on movies and television. AI can't reasonably sub in for the passion that a filmmaker or writer brings to a project. As long as that's the case, it doesn't pose a significant threat to how the entertainment industry operates.
