Charlotte Hornets guard James Bouknight was arrested for DWI in Charlotte on Sunday with the season nearing its start. The team said it was aware of the situation.
"We are aware of the incident involving James Bouknight and are in the process of gathering additional information. The newspaper noted that Bouknight has had a slew of speeding and reckless driving offenses against him in the Charlotte area. Bouknight played 31 games last season for the Hornets. As a rookie, he averaged 4.6 points per game. Clifford said last week he saw star-level talent in Bouknight.
