Hot, sunny start to the week continues Tuesday, with more rain coming soon: forecasters

Showers and storms could start Wednesday afternoon and sporadically continue through Thursday night.

Tuesday is a perfect opportunity to get outside and tan, swim or barbecue before more rain could drench the midstate later this week.said showers and/or thunderstorms could roll into the area between 2 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday.

More showers are possible after 2 p.m. Thursday, forecasters said. The rain could continue through Thursday evening but wrap up before Friday morning. Forecasters said Thursday will still be warm, but temperatures are expected to drop from the 90s into the upper 70s. Friday will be sunny, with more upper 70-degree highs, forecasters said.
