The meeting begins at 5 p.m. in the board auditorium at the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center at 4400 W. 18th St., according to the district.
The $422,000 program would create an additional 100 seats for 3- and 4-year-olds in HISD amid a massive shortage of affordable child care services for families across Houston and Texas. The first is an agreement with the University of Houston to provide a rigorous principal residency program in the next school year to prepare participants to step into the role at HISD.
