Houston man Sergio David Chavarria, 63, has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of two charges of indecency with a child, the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office said.A 63-year-old Houston man has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl, the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office said.
Chavarria engaged in sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in October 2020 while he was washing her hair at a Richmond hair salon owned by his wife, according to prosecutors. The child later told her mother about the incident and said that Chavarria had also molested her that February when she was 12.“She brought us back to the worst moment of her life, although she desperately wanted to forget what happened,” prosecutor Craig Priesmeyer said.
