Postdoctoral Associate
to conduct original research in Wastewater Epidemiology of the Human Virome. This is a moon-shot, high reward project using the latest molecular and computational approaches to identify a broad range of viruses of human origin from wastewater samples, including those associated with acquired immune deficiency syndrome, substance abuse, and seasonal respiratory illness.
The ideal candidate will have substantial knowledge of molecular biology and genomics, demonstrated success as a recent PhD graduate, creative out-of-the box thinking, and willingness to join and work with a large, highly collaborative research team exploring everything from global viral monitoring, computational biology, phage therapeutics and new vaccine discovery.Analyzes molecular data including computational tools associated with sequence information and protein antigen design.
