Stonecipher is quoted in a 2019as saying “When people say I changed the culture of Boeing, that was the intent, so that it’s run like a business rather than a great engineering firm.”
But there have been multiple reports in the MAX tragedy of cost-cutting, speed of production and profitability objectives being prioritized over safety and quality.
