Deshaun Watson addressed the media at the start of Bengals week.
Last season, Watson went 1-2 in his first tour of the AFC North as a Brown, losing to the 23-10 Bengals and 28-14 to the Steelers, and beating the Ravens 13-3 — with backup Tyler Huntley at quarterback instead of the injured Lamar Jackson.
This season, Watson will get the full AFC North gauntlet from the jump, with the opener Sunday against the Bengals, a Week 2 matchup in Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football Sept. 18, and a visit from the Ravens on Oct. 1. By Oct. 2, Watson will be either well on his way to division champ or division chump.
With the hay mostly in the barn and Watson firmly in control of the overhauled offense, he feels ready to roll, even against the AFC runner-ups.
