Kennedy was reelected to the court, this time as its chief justice.

On an already conservative panel,"Justice Kennedy was perhaps the most conservative," says Jonathan Entin, a law professor at Case Western Reserve University. Ohio voters also reelected Republican Associate Justices Mark Fischer and Pat DeWine, son of Gov. Mike DeWine. Gov. DeWine, also a Republican, will get to appoint one justice to the court, filling O'Connor's seat.
