Destiny 2 has done something interesting for its 30th Anniversary Event
The final cosmetic, the Tiger Helmet Ornament, cannot be gotten until Legend difficulty has all the enemy rotations live, but it does not rely on rank. It’s possible this will be completable tomorrow at reset, but it might not be until next week.
One curious thing is that it’s stated that you can only reset Xur rank five total times. While I know some people have gotten to rank 2, what I’m wondering is if anything secret could be hidden in ranks 4 or 5. A) Bungie has said there are mysteries in this content, and I feel like we haven’t found may yet and B) why state there’s a cap of five resets? Why have a cap at all when no other resets have one? Weird.
What I’ve also found in my time grinding so far is that The Other Half, the void sword, appears to have a crazy low drop rate compared to everything else. I’ve gottenso far. Granted, I’ve saved most of my keys for unlocks rather than weapons, but through random drops and rank ups I haven’t even gotten a single one yet, and I’ve talked to others at rank 90 or 100 who say they’ve only gotten one or two as opposed to say, 30 grenade launchers. So if you get one, it’s a high honor.
Anyway, we have an indefinite amount of time to grind this. It might be three months, if the rank resets at the end of the season like tends to happen with all vendors, but the content itself shouldn’t go away. Though maybe it won’t reset, I don’t know. It’s a crazy grind to get to 16 alone, so that would kind of be a bummer.
