The origin of Aunt Bill's Soul Food Cafe stems from a pregnancy craving. Five years ago, co-owner Ryan Muccular was desperately wanting some smothered cabbage and was dismayed to learn she couldn't find the authentic soul food dish anywhere near Katy.
Five years ago, co-owner Ryan Muccular was desperately wanting some smothered cabbage and was dismayed to learn she couldn't find the authentic soul food dish anywhere near Katy.
"Katy absolutely needed a soul food restaurant," Ryan said,"and we're happy to be here to bring that to the community. The most popular menu item is the smothered oxtails and collard greens, Ryan said. Other popular foods include fried chicken, waffles and bananas foster.
