The parade will begin at noon Monday on Smith Street at Preston Street. It will travel 1.7 miles down Smith Street to Tuam Street.Officials asked the public not to park on Smith Street, nor on Bagby or Louisiana streets near the starting point.
They also recommended people take a ride-share vehicle or public transit in order to avoid congestion,Ride-share locations have been arranged at Root Square Memorial Park , Allen’s Landing , Eleanor Tinsley Park and Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway.
