Monday marks the fourth time in the last five years that high Halloween temperatures have been 60 degrees or higher in Cleveland, with the highest being 65 degrees in 2019.
The only year that didn’t match this threshold was 2020, with a high of 49 degrees.
More than half of Halloweens since 2000 have had temperatures of 60 degrees or higher, according to data from the National Weather Service, measuring temperatures at the Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport. The highest was in 2003 when Cleveland saw 75 degrees on the pinnacle candy collection day.
While it may feel like unseasonably warm weather, the high of 67 degrees on Halloween in 2022 is not the highest it's been since 2000.If temperatures do reach 66 degrees as predicted, today will tie with 2007 as the fifth warmest Halloween since 2000, following 2013 , 2001 and 2008 , 2009 , and 2003 .
