Houston police respond to an incident involving an officer who hit and injured a pedestrian in the 7600 block of Harrisburg Boulevard on July 8, 2022.A Houston police officer driving in the East End Friday night struck and injured a pedestrian with his cruiser, according to authorities.
The officer was looking at his computer when he hit a man who was walking in the middle of the roadway around 10:45 p.m. in the 7600 block of Harrisburg, Houston police said.17-year-old charged with capital murder in fatal shooting of Lamar High freshman over shoes Houston firefighters responded and took him to a local hospital in stable condition, authorities added. He is expected to survive and officials are looking to contact his family.
"We are wrapping up our vehicular crimes investigation that the department will do that will check for anything that was out of place and the circumstances of the crash," Cmdr. Trey Coleman said, adding the officer was not injured during the incident.
