HPE CEO talks record 4th quarte sales, tech giant's move to Houston

Godofredo A. Vásquez, Houston Chronicle / Staff photographerHewlett Packard Enterprise on Tuesday reported record-breaking fourth quarter sales, lifted by new products that expand options for businesses to store and analyze data.

“We had an outstanding quarter, we’re really proud of our performance across the metrics,” CEO Antonio Neri said in an interview. In some cases, that means installing hardware, software and a suite of support materials to customers. Others can subscribe to HPE’s software to keep some of its cloud local for things like automation and data-processing, but also take advantage of the three larger clouds, where the majority of data is currently stored.

Neri, who has been with the company since 1995, has preached the future of hybrid cloud computing since becoming CEO in 2018, when he pledged to invest $4 billion in the business.Wind energy giant Ørsted to open Houston office
