Jon Poorman is the high school sports coordinator for the Houston Chronicle. He previously served as the sports editor for The Courier of Montgomery County daily newspaper in Conroe for five years.
Poorman was born in Kansas City, Mo., and grew up in the suburb of Raytown. He received his degree in print and internet journalism from Missouri State University and began his career in 2013 with The Courier and Houston Community Newspapers.
