The ignorance of climate denialism is the arrogance in thinking that we are separate from and exceptional and superior to nature.

That we can extract, exploit, profit and emit without limits and without consequences is the apex of hubris; continuation will have humanity authoring its own destruction. More human than our avarice and apathy, though, is our capacity for change. We can change how society works, replacing consumerism with sustainable, care-based cultivation of humanity and nature.Inevitably, change will come, and how that change manifests rests on human choice.

Alternatively, we can choose to make the necessary changes to our lifestyles and societies, to write ourselves into history so that future generations will proudly speak of the commitment we made to a better way that allows humanity and the natural order to coexist and thrive. The time for necessary and decisive action is fleeting, and the longer we wait, the greater the challenge. To choose and to change is to be human, and the need for both is existentially necessary. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
