The Philly Naked Bike Ride is a “Bare As You Dare” event, meaning that participants can be completely nude , or ride with any amount of clothing they prefer. Some choose to use body paint to cover their “delicate” areas or to decorate their bodies with a colorful message. This year, the bicyclists — as well as those on scooters or skateboards, and those choosing to walk or jog — began their trek at Lemon Hill and weaved their way through more than 12 miles of the City of Brotherly Love.
They passed landmarks, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, historic Rittenhouse Square, Pat’s King of Steaks, Geno’s Steaks, South Street and City Hall, before ending at the Fillmore where a post-ride party was held.
