BREAKING: A portion of U.S. 1 is closed due to a plane crash, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed.

Johns County Fire Rescue says that the dog was transported to a local vet for treatment.A portion of U.S. 1 from Big Oak Road to Lewis Speedway was closed as authorities responded to the crash, but traffic was still slow-moving in the area as of early Thursday evening.
