John Wick and The Penguin
Summary Robin Lord Taylor may not be a household name, but his role in John Wick was so far short of his abilities. The John Wick franchise is one of the best modern action series in a long time. Being an avid fan of Keanu Reeves, and a sucker for any movie that features futuristic, dystopian themes, John Wick was right up my street. With that in mind, I binged all four films over a two day period just so I could fully embrace the assassin-filled reality where Wick lives.
Gotham Proves Robin Lord Taylor Deserved A Bigger Role In John Wick 3 Robin Taylor Lord Was Capable Of So Much More Taylor played a major part in the hit series Gotham, an alternative origin for Batman which featured a teenage Bruce Wayne. As the Penguin, Taylor showcased an incredible proficiency for transforming himself, and an incredible range as a performer.
Yes, I get that John Wick 4 had a new story to tell, and spending a bunch of time on a minor side character wouldn't make any sense. But, it wasn't like Taylor's character was in an awkward position to come back for the sequel. The Administration appears to be a central element of the world where John Wick operates. They are a pivotal part of how messages travel, and how bounties are communicated.
