Boundary-breaking designer Virgil Abloh died last Sunday, following a private battle with a rare form of cancer. Diagnosed in 2019, Abloh, 41, continued to create for both Louis Vuitton, where he was the menswear creative director, and his own label, Off-White. His final show for Louis Vuitton was posthumously staged on Tuesday in Miami.
This week also saw the start of Art Basel Miami, bringing art lovers and fashionistas to warmer climes for a stacked lineup of fetes and presentations. Across the pond, Britain celebrated their Fashion Awards. Kim Jones of Dior Homme won Designer of the Year, while Simone Rocha took home the British Independent Designer award.
Finally, Billie Eilish surprised fans with another hair transformation. After spending a few months as a platinum blonde, Eilish is a deep brunette. Keep switching it up, Billie!Designer Virgil Abloh died at the age of 41 last Sunday.
