Is there any other book coming out this month that you’re excited to read?book. I think it came out on the same day as mine, and the two of them seem kind of similar, although, of course, she’s at a way higher tier of experience.
Oh, the band Creed, for sure. A lot of the stuff that I talked about in this book has already had something of a second coming; you know, whether people are liking the Cheesecake Factory ironically or genuinely, it’s still having a little bit of a moment in the sun. I think the same is true of Guy Fieri; evenhas had its little ironic rebirth. Much of what I talk about in this book has had an ironic second coming, but that’s not the way that I want to look at any of this stuff.
I’m curious about the nexus of queer culture and tackiness; do you think queer people “understand” the appeal of tackiness more?
