On Sunday an Anderson woman was told by officials her son was found dead, along the White River. But after four days of grieving, she learned he was still alive.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Puerto Rico Police Bureau tells 13News, 44-year-old Amanda Webster, from Indianapolis, has been missing since Oct. 11.

It's missing person's department tells us she was last seen in Naguabo, a city on the east side of the country. It is a ways from the place she was staying at, but authorities could not say what time she left. A person who claims to be a close friend of Webster says she was last heard from on Tuesday, Oct. 10, near Casa Parcha and was possibly hiking to the El Hippie watering pool near there.

Police were alerted to the disappearance by the landlord of the home where she was staying after finding her bags and rental car at the home after she was supposed to have left.Police say she arrived in Puerto Rico on Oct. 9.
