Deal also calls for Ed Carpenter Racing driver to enter Daytona, six other NASCAR Cup races in 2023.
The 31-year-old Daly will attempt to qualify for the Daytona 500 as well as six other NASCAR Cup races this season with TMT Racing—a team co-owned by boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. TMT made the announcement of Daly's Daytona 500 deal Tuesday morning.
Daly is also running the full NTT IndyCar Series schedule this year with Ed Carpenter Racing, where he will team with driver Rinus VeeKay. “The Money Team Racing shocked the world by making the Daytona 500 last year and I believe in this team and know we will prepare a great car for this year's race," team co-owner Mayweather said."Like a fighter who’s always ready to face the best, Conor has the courage to buckle into this beast without any practice and put that car into the field. Conor is like a hungry fighter and my kind of guy. I sure wouldn’t bet against him.
