False 911 Calls Skyrocket During Bonnaroo as the iPhone Mistakes Dancing for Car Crashes

, Apple offered to send representatives to Manchester to help resolve the issue, but the solution was to simply send localized alerts, including a statement made by the local police through Twitter, encouraging festival goers to temporarily deactivate the Crash Detection feature, which reduced the number of 911 calls by 40 to 60%.
