The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to rename their stadium, and they have chosen to use their franchise quarterback as the inspiration for the new name.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are betting big on franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence was given a five-year, $275 million contract in June, tying him with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow with $55 million per season. The pair were tied before the Cowboys gave Dak Prescott a record-breaking $60 million per season deal.

To signal the Jaguars' home opener this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, Lawrence will engage in a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will transform the EverBank Stadium into the newly minted TrEverBank Stadium. The socials for the stadium have also already made the change.Lawrence commented on the change to ESPN, stating:'I don't like having too much of the spotlight with stuff like that, but I think it was clever,' Lawrence said.
