A bill to help address homelessness in the River City could get one step closer to becoming a reality.

On Tuesday, members of the Jacksonville City Council will talk about a homeless trust fund that would use $1 million.

The CEO of Sulzbacher Center said affordable housing is the key to solving homelessness in Jacksonville. She said that in December last year, 3,400 people were homeless in Jacksonville. There’s now 4,300, which is a more than 25% jump.
