David Smith of Phoenix appeared on the talk show and was gifted tickets to see the Arizona Diamondback play this week during the World Series.PHOENIX — A cancer survivor from Phoenix was recently surprised on the Jennifer Hudson Show with tickets to see the Arizona Diamondbacks play in the World Series.the talk show gifted David Smith and his wife tickets to see the D-backs play during the World Series at Chase Field.
"Well, well our friends at Major League Baseball are sending you to Game 4 of the World Series tomorrow in Phoenix," Hudson told Smith during Monday's show. The Smiths yelled out in excitement as Hudson handed them the tickets to see the D-backs compete against the Texas Rangers in the team's first World Series appearance since 2001.
Smith appeared on the national show to discuss how he was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 and his journey of being in remission for the last couple of years.
