A new preview of Jeremy Renner’s first interview since his traumatic snowplow accident reveals the full extent of the serious injuries he sustained.
A full list of Jeremy Renner's snowplow injuries has been revealed in a new video ahead of the actor's first interview since the traumatic event. Best known for The Hurt Locker, The Town, Mayor of Kingstown, and playing Hawkeye in a number of MCU movies, Renner was involved in a serious accident involving his Sno-Cat earlier this year.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Now, a new preview of Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph shared by ABC reveals the full extent of the injuries Renner sustained in the accident. In the interview, which will air on April 6, Renner's nephew recalls seeing him "in a pool of blood coming from his head," before Sawyer then reads off a list of bone fractures and other injuries the actor sustained.
“Eight ribs broken in 14 places. Right knee, right ankle broken, left leg tibia broken, left ankle broken, right clavicle broken, right shoulder broken. Face, eye socket, jaw, mandible broken. Lung collapsed. Pierced from the rib bone, your liver — which sounds terrifying.”Jeremy Renner's Injury & Recovery Timeline Explained Renner sustained his injuries on New Year's Day when, while trying to rescue his nephew from deep snow, his 14,330-pound Sno-Cat ran him over.
Renner confirmed that he had returned home from the hospital on January 17, but his road to recovery was really only just getting started. In late January and throughout February and March, Renner shared several images of the methods and equipment he is using to mend his body, including physical therapy sessions, resistance bands, and electric stimulation machines. The latest update, shared earlier this week, shows Renner back on his feet and using a specialized treadmill.
While Renner's injuries were life-threatening, the actor has maintained good spirits throughout the process. He recently expressed joy at having the Sno-Cat that nearly killed him returned by the police, and he has also joked with fellow Marvel actor Chris Evans about the accident. It looks like Renner still has quite a long journey to go before he is fully healed, but audiences can see the actor back on-screen in a new season of Rennervations, which premieres on Disney Plus on April 12.
