Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher, addressing the media at the SEC meetings Wednesday, officially downplayed the harshest feud between prominent college football coaches in memory.DESTIN, Fla. — Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher joked that the 14 Southeastern Conference football coaches “shared 3,882 ideas” at the league’s annual spring meetings.

Fisher getting so abruptly personal was in response to Saban a day before claiming A&M “bought” its entire recruiting class of 2022 while speaking to a group of business leaders in Birmingham, Ala.
Fisher insinuated the accusations of two weeks ago were overblown, at least when it comes to actual coach speak. “Coaches back then hung out, even went to schools together,” Fisher said. “ it’s such a year-round schedule you don’t have time for the interaction you used to have and the relationships in coaching. … These days are nothing like they were .”
