Sixers teammate James Harden could also hear his name called when the All-Star reserves, selected by the league’s coaches, will be announced on TNT at 7 p.m. The 72nd All-Star Game will tip off on Feb. 19 at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City.For Embiid, this would mark his sixth consecutive All-Star selection. It would be Harden’s 11th straight.
“Like I keep saying … I feel like we have an opportunity to accomplish something big. So that’s where the emphasis is.” He will play in 70.7% of the Sixers’ 82-game slate if he doesn’t miss more than eight of the remaining 32 contests.
