Jordan McFadden: I wasn’t able to practice due to precautionary reasons. I feel like I interviewed really well. Teams got to know the real me and how much I love the game. My football IQ was on full display. I thought I had a great week. I think I helped my pre-draft stock.Jordan McFadden: I met with a bunch of teams at the Shrine Bowl. I feel like it’s always difficult to say.
Jordan McFadden: It was amazing. I had a great time at Clemson. I became a better football player at Clemson. Above all, I became a better man. I graduated with my degree. These are the things I think of when reflecting on my time at Clemson. I had a very successful career. We won a lot of games. I played in so many big games and moments.
Jordan McFadden: I actually cross-trained at guard throughout practice at Clemson. Playing guard against the defensive line that we had prepared me to make a transition inside if one is necessary. I have quality practice reps at the guard position under my belt. Jordan McFadden: As I was growing up, especially when I first started playing football in middle school, I was a laid-back and super relaxed person off the field. Once I got to high school, my offensive line coach really preached that toughness and nastiness. It’s a necessity if you want to have success playing on the offensive line. I’ve carried that mentality with me daily. It’s not personal. I’m just trying to do my job at the highest level. That’s the best way I know how.
We had a new offensive line coach [Thomas Austin] in 2022. Coach Austin brought a different dynamic. He played in the NFL for five or six years. He brought that NFL terminology back into our offense. It allowed me to get familiar with NFL concepts. Playing at Clemson definitely prepared me to play at the next level.
