After rumors circulated that the Raiders had taken former Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter off their draft board, head coach Josh McDaniels seems to have rebutted the report.
“Just spoke to Josh McDaniels and he reiterated what he told reporters about Jalen Carter on Monday,” Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal tweeted. Carter turned himself in earlier this month after there was a warrant out for his arrest and was charged with reckless driving and racing stemming from the Jan. 15 incident.Jalen Carter won back-to-back Championships with the Bulldogs and was widely considered one of the draft’s top picks before the charges.The charges claimed Carter was driving his 2021 Jeep Trackhawk “in a manner consistent with racing” in competition with the vehicle that Willock and Chandler were in.
